Cruise your way to Kyyhkylä
The vastness and beauty of Saimaa Lakeland takes your breath away. Lake Saimaa, the heart of Europe’s largest lake district, is famous for its striking natural beauty as well as its sanctuary of certain endangered species.
“Taking a trip to Lakeland is like taking a trip into the heart of Finnish identity. One of the most important birthplaces of the Finnish identity are the deep green forests, the rolling hills and the glittering lakes that cover most of central Finland” (Visit Finland)
The home waters of the Saimaa ringed seal are easily accessible from Kyyhkylä since we are located on the shore of Lake Saimaa. Step on board and take a cruise from the port of Mikkeli to Rantakyyhky. The journey with M/S Jaarli, from Mikkeli harbor to Kyyhkylä, only takes about 30 minutes.
Enjoy the beautiful landscape and pop into Summer Café Rantakyyhky for a tasty lunch, cup of coffee and delicious pastry when playing miniature golf or going for a swim. Rantakyyhky is also licensed to serve alcoholic beverages.
With our partners, we can arrange charter cruises for smaller groups. The journey from Mikkeli to Kyyhkylä only takes about 30 minutes, but customers often wish to spend more time cruising the lake.
Smaller groups can also try out different kinds of experiences on Lake Saimaa, such as floatation suit training, which is a great option for company recreation days or customer events.
